PHYSICAL STANDARDS

• MINIMUM HEIGHT -5'-4" (162.5cm)

VISUAL STANDARD

• Serial No Visual Standard Description

(1) Distant Vision With glasses 6/9, 6/12
(2) Near Vision J2, J7 or N8, N12 with or without glasses
(3) Average Weight As per given age and height standards

PHYSICAL FITNESS
The candidates will have to qualify the following physical standards at the time of preliminary selection:-


• Serial No PHYSICAL FITNESS Time Duration

(1) 1.6 Km Run 7 ½ Minutes
(2) Push Ups 15 repetitions in 2 Minutes
(3) Sit Ups 15 repetitions in 2 Minutes
(4) Chin Ups 3 repetitions in 2 Minutes

Swimming
Swimming has been made a mandatory commissioning criteria. Swimming training will be imparted to the selected candidates at PMA, however, those not qualifying will not be granted commission. Candidates should therefore learn swimming before joining PMA in their own interest.

Documents Required at ISSB

• Original Matric certificate issued by board. Only result card/ mark sheet will not be accepted.



• Detailed marks sheet or Result card of matric.



• Those candidates who have not been issued with Matric Certificate by their concerned board should furnish a certificate in this regard signed only by the Secretary Board. Any such certificate issued by school/college will no be accepted.



• The candidates who appear with a “Duplicate” or “Revised” matric certificate or if they have amendments in their names or date of births, should provide certificate explaining the circumstances under which they were issued with “Duplicate” or “Revised” or Amended matric Certificate, signed only by the Secretary Board.



• The original certificate and marks sheet/result card of Intermediate (FA/FSc, DAE/D.Com/DBA/ICS) is mandatory.



• Appearing candidates who have completed FA/FSc part-I will bring original part-I marks sheet along with surety/hope certificate of college.



• In case of 'O','A' level, equivalence certificate and birth certificate are compulsory. PHOTOCOPY OF ANY CERTIFICATE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTABLE

Ineligibiliy Conditions

Candidates falling in any one of the following are ineligible to appear in the ISSB tests:

• Those who do not fulfill the academic qualifications advertised by respective services headquarters.


• Those found medically unfit.


• Those who have been twice screened out.



• Those who have been twice not recommended by ISSB.



• Those withdrawn from any training academy on disciplinary ground of found unsuitable.



• Those dismissed from government service on disciplinary or unsuitability grounds.


• Those dismissed from Armed Forces on disciplinary ground or being unsuitable.


• Those convicted in the court of law


• Any candidate who appeared in ISSB within last 4 months.



• RECOMMENDED candidates are ineligible to appear for the tests of any course for one calendar year starting from the date of recommendation at ISSB



• OVER WEIGHT CANDIDATES ARE GRANTED A RELAXATION OF 20% EXTRA WEIGHT. THEFORE CANDIDATES EXCEEDING THESE WEIGHT LIMITS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO APPEAR FOR ISSB TESTS. ALL SUCH CANDIDATES ARE ADVISED TO REDUCE THEIR WEIGHT AND BRING IT WITHIN DESIRED LIMITS BEFORE COMING TO ISSB.

SCHEDULE FOR REGISTRATION/TESTS

Shedule for the registration and tests is summarised as:

• Registration --- 07 MAY - 21 MAY 2008 (Sunday incl)


• Tests --- 02 JUN - 27 JUN 2008 (Holidays not incl)

Documents Required for Registration

Following Certificates and 1 x Photocopies of these Certificates are req at the time of registration:-

• Matric Certificate and Matric Detailed Marks Sheet.In case of O/A level submission of Equilance cert issued by IBCC is compulsory.


• Certificate of FA/FSc/Detailed Marks Sheet or Equivalent.


• Computerized National Identity Card or Computerized Form “B” alongwith Guardian of Computerized National Identity Card.


• 2 x Colour Photos duly attested by Principal/Class 1 Gazetted Officer.
  One set of attested photocopies of above mentioned documents.


• Old National Identity Card and Form “B” will not be accepted. Original and 1x photocopy of Inter Services Selection Board “ NOT RECOMMENDED” letter is also required for “Repeater” Candidates.
